PAWV has several designated programs that are able to receive contributions for those who want to be assured that their gifts are used for a specific purpose:
- Field Services Programming: Your gift will be used to support the West Virginia Endangered Properties Program and to provide on-the-ground technical assistance to property stewards in our Mountain State.
- Historic Preservation Revolving Loans: Your gift will be used to make low-interest loans to property stewards needing financial assistance in rehabilitating their historic property. Loan recipients will pay back the loans over a specified period of time, and the funds will be re-used in making new loans.
- Preserve WV AmeriCorps: Your gift can be used in two ways:
- To help a site sponsor pay the cash match required to sponsor a Preserve WV AmeriCorps member. The cash match for part-time site sponsors is $2,000, and the cash match for full-time site sponsors is $4,000. (Contact [email protected] for a list of site sponsors.)
- To sponsor Preserve WV AmeriCorps group historic preservation projects, such as painting, cemetery restoration, clean-up or clean-out projects; mothballing a building; historic window rehab, or site landscaping. Funds will be used to purchase supplies, food, consultant assistance, or travel resources necessary to ensure the success of a project.
